Be in the streets at
Move -a- Bull City 2026

Durham's largest open streets event returns —
From the Ellerbe to the ATT.

For one afternoon, we're closing 1.2 miles of downtown streets from the Ellerbee Creek Trail to the American Tobacco Trail and opening them to people. Be part of it Sunday, October 4.

WHY PARTNER

Last year, 1,500 people came out to walk, bike, roll, and play on streets usually full of cars. This year we're going bigger.

Partnering puts your organization in front of that crowd — families, neighbors, and community members from across Durham — for a full afternoon along the route. Whether you're sharing a service, selling your food, showing off your craft, or running an activity, Move-A-Bull City is a chance to connect with your community in the middle of the street.

WHO PARTNERS

Move-A-Bull City brings together a wide mix of partners along the route:

  • Community organizations and nonprofits sharing resources and connecting with neighbors.

  • Local businesses and vendors reaching thousands of potential customers.

  • Activity partners running the demonstrations, classes, games, and hands-on fun that fill the zones.

If your organization wants to be part of a car-free afternoon built around health, joy, and community, there's a place for you.

DEADLINE

Partners need to commit by August 29 so we can finalize the route and programming. Space is limited — sign up soon to claim your spot.
