Volunteer at
Move -a- Bull City 2026
Durham's largest open streets event returns —
From the Ellerbe to the ATT.
Move-A-Bull City doesn't happen without volunteers. On Sunday, October 4, we're closing 1.2 miles of downtown Durham to cars and opening the streets to people, from the Ellerbe to the ATT. It takes a whole crew to make that happen, and that's where you come in.
Whether you can give a couple of hours or the full afternoon, there's a role for you, and you'll be part of one of the best days of the year in Durham.
WHY VOLUNTEER
As a Move-A-Bull City volunteer, you'll:
Help transform downtown streets into a car-free space for thousands of neighbors
Be part of Durham's largest open streets celebration
Meet fellow Durhamites who care about safe, joyful, people-first streets
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how it all comes together
